Oh my! The Oracle of Ottawa has been so busy as of late. He has been so deeply into the ever ongoing "Thinking About Thinking Project" that the usual amount of missives to this humble blog have been missing as of late. All the Oracle of Ottawa can say is that the vein in progress has been very rich indeed. But the events of and at the recent NDP Leadership Convention so moved the Oracle that he just felt that Hunter S. Thompson obsession to share all his thoughts and other mental gibberish.

To tell the truth, the Oracle of Ottawa was expecting the worst from the recent NDP hoe-down, truth be told. And although I felt the urge to write about it often, I was afraid that I would jinx it. It was late Saturday afternoon on the way back to the secure bunker in Ottawa-South from the highly coveted Saturday routine that the Oracle of Ottawa heard on the radio station of the "state broadcaster" the CBC, that the third ballot was being jammed by unknown dark, evil and nefarious forces. No doubt originating from somewhere in Monotonous, Montana and / or the China Telegraph and Telephone Company at the behest of the "dark forces" presently being investigated by Elections Canada...
Seated in front of the Sony EX620-40HD in all the splendor of the HD broadcasting from the CBC, the Oracle was catching from the end of the third ballot. The Oracle of Ottawa was very happy with four of the last five candidates. All the Oracle of Ottawa knew is who he did not want to win! And The opinions of Ed Broadbent and whats her name be damned! That short, or rather vertically challenged little weasel, you know who, really creeped the Oracle of Ottawa out! And the Oracle is very well versed in his Old Testament stories of death bed blessings, don't ya know!! And he was having none of it!

But, not to worry, that young Nathan Cullen saved the day! In a move right out of The Prince, Nathan released his delegates to their own wishes and desires. This was the equivalent of cutting one second place candidates throat ear from ear! And the way he smiled as he did it, well the Oracle of Ottawa was mightily impressed! It has been decades since the Oracle has witnessed politics played so ruthlessly and perfect...Now that nice Tom whats his name is head of the NDP. What a relief! Now ask yourself this dear reader; Tom and Steve meet in a back alley in the wrong end of Montreal.. Who do you think is the one who is going to walk out? Yeah... Me too! It is going to be impossible to "attack ad" a guy whose nick name is "Tom The Bomb" ! And can you imagine how Question Period is going to go from now on? It is just going to be total heaven!

Now this Nathan Cullen lad doesn't fool the Oracle of Ottawa for a moment. It's simply because I know about such things. Old Nathan has had a most privileged education. You don't learn to speak like that at an Ontario Public school, no sir. This guy is a Catholic? And he went to a Jesuit High School. How is the Oracle of Ottawa doing? He has more than one university degree. Am I right. Really... He is really trying to keep the beacons under the bushel, just like that upstart from Old Montreal did back in the 1960's... But of course it will all come out at just the right time won't it?

Meanwhile, earlier today, Lisa "The Hapless" Raitt in an utter move of desperation has referred the Air Canada strikers to the CIRB! ( Canada Industrial Relations Board ) ,in a desperate attempt to prevent the collapse of the Canadian economy! ( Oh Please....) This action is highly irregular, and hasn't been attempted in my living memory. But that is the way with neo-con babes, they always go for the gun too quickly! Meanwhile Canada Post has filed a constitutional court challenge over the 'Harper Government' back to work legislation back in the summer. As you can plainly see the swamp is quickly filling with some very hungry and pissed crocodiles!

Meanwhile, amid all the union busting, as per Bilderberg Group directives, the forward scouts for Occupy Wall Street are arriving in Canada and scoping out the best locations for the coming inexerable wave of future troubles and embarrassments. And in the hapless Tory way of shit fortune, it will all boil up at the same time, and all but ruin the great mans last term as Prime Minister. It all should be very interesting to watch unfold.

Brand is a terrible thing to waste.And we are all watching the demise of the Canada Post brand. There are very few organizations that go back to 1867 with a continuous unbroken history.This is a classic example of the failure of management. The classic example of a once great Crown Corporation being sacrificed to build a legacy of ashes, in the pursuit of an impossible goal of a failed Conservative political ideology. Four more years over takes for the greater good.

The hopelessness of it all could have witnessed by anyone watching Question Period on CPAC today. You can see that this labour dispute is being exploited to advantage by the Torys in an attempt to demonstrate to their corporate and Bilderberg Group friends how tough they are going to be. It is totally unclear to me how this course of action will be to any ones benefit at the end of the day...
Now all this next bit is really confusing... The Minister of Labour is one Kellie Leitch who happens to be a orthopaedic pediatric surgeon!? This of course begs the question, who the hell is the Minister of Health and Welfare? Well that would be one Leona Aglukkaq, and she must be brilliant as hell since she seems never to have gone to school anywhere! I can find no academic trail any where... Such is Canada it the present dismal moment!

Now you would think that a Minister of Labour that is a professional in a healing profession, would be a pretty good starting point. But alas no, not when they have M.B.A. stuck into their resume and the real tell that you are deep in trouble here is that if they won a spot recently in that Top 40 under 40 marketing contest that was popular a while back. The Oracle of Ottawa recommends the German solution, or if you will the Deutsche Post solution. You know them in Canada as the DHL! They started out in only 1995! They now employ over 421,000 people all over the world! They are bigger than UPS! They are the worlds largest logistics group on Earth! The Oracle of Ottawas pride does not preclude cloning a really good idea or model. If the German people can do it, and still retain financial control,
Canadians can do it, with a greater then 50-50 chance of doing it better. And yes they have all powerful labour unions in Germany...

Well, what is the sense of Canada even existing at all? Why don't we just call the place Walmart? That is the hidden agenda. Can you imagine traveling to strange places all over the world and not being able to listen to the CBC on short-wave radio? It grieves the Oracle of Ottawa to no end that a bunch of arse sniffing alpha dog wanna be's have subverted the democratic system and are on a goat - fuck of a train wreck. As I write this, no doubt, the Premier of Quebec is cabling the French government and getting ready for Quebec's entry to the European Union. They will not tolerate this attack on the governmental infrastructure. When the insects start to swarm in sight of Parliament Hill it is not a good omen at all.

Now at the end of the day it has leaked out that the Tory Bund is going to introduce Treason legislation!? The present treason code combined with the Official Secrets Act is all but leak proof! But that is just the cover story. Way in the back of this updated treason bill is a comprehensive bit about putting the nuts to bloggers and it will be looser then the private parts of the oldest working Byward Market ho! If there is one thing that fascists really hate is people really telling them what they really think. I can only hope that you people in the traditional print media and all you people watching out for our civil rights are paying very close attention.
